QR CODES

Keep a printed QR useful when business details change

A business may change its logo, public address or review destination after cards have been printed. The saved campaign and location settings should be checked together so the existing QR still describes the right experience.

A practical workflow

  1. Review the location

Update accurate public details in the appropriate settings. Confirm that the active campaign belongs to the intended branch.

  2. Test the old print

Scan a card that customers already have. Inspect the identity and handoff rather than assuming a settings change reached every destination.

  3. Replace misleading artwork

If the printed card itself contains an old address or name, correct it even when the linked page has been updated.

Avoid this mistake

Do not leave an outdated printed promise or address simply because the QR still opens.

What to check

Use a saved physical sample during every major branding or location update.

Test the whole physical journey

Check both the printed code and the page behind it. A successful scan is only the entry point: the customer still needs to recognise the business, describe an experience and understand the Google handoff. Use the final material under ordinary lighting. Keep a copy of the approved artwork so a replacement does not accidentally introduce a different destination.

Preserve a QR code’s clear margin →

The empty area around a QR helps a camera distinguish the code from its surroundings. Logos, captions and decorative borders should not crowd that space,.
