REVIEW REQUESTS

Ask for a review without asking for praise

A neutral invitation makes room for the customer’s actual experience. Your message should explain why you are asking and where the link goes, without suggesting that only positive feedback is welcome.

A practical workflow

  1. Use plain wording

Ask the customer to share their experience. Keep the request separate from sales language and avoid phrases that imply a required five-star response.

  2. Choose a natural moment

Send the link after a real service interaction. The customer should have enough context to say something meaningful about the business.

  3. Leave control with them

Explain that leaving a review is optional. Do not send repeated messages simply because the customer has not responded.

Avoid this mistake

Avoid describing a neutral review request as a favour the customer owes the staff.

What to check

Measure whether the message is understandable and reaches appropriate customers, not only the ratings it produces.

Keep the invitation genuine

Google’s rules prohibit fake and incentivised engagement. Use a consistent invitation for real customer experiences, including critical ones. Keep support, refunds and service access independent of public feedback. reviewbuddy.in supports manual WhatsApp Web sharing; email requests require SMTP setup and explicit approval. A sent invitation does not prove that a customer has posted.
