Explain AI limits without confusing customers

Customers need to know when writing help is unavailable, but they do not need a technical error dump. A useful message tells them what happened to their text and what action they can take next.

A practical workflow

  1. Use a plain explanation

Say that Riya could not respond or that the current allowance is unavailable. Do not expose API keys, raw exceptions or provider payloads.

  2. Preserve the experience

Keep the original words visible and safe through the failed attempt. A retry should not require re-entering the same text.

  3. Avoid false promises

Do not promise instant recovery when provider capacity or a monthly allowance may be the cause. Keep the next action clear and honest.

Avoid this mistake

Do not present an ungenerated review as a successful fallback.

What to check

Test failures on a phone and confirm that the customer knows whether anything was saved or posted.

Keep the customer in control

Riya helps with wording in English, Hindi and Hinglish. It should preserve the customer’s facts and sentiment, and the customer can edit the draft before approving it. Copying and continuing to Google does not publish anything automatically. AI availability depends on both workspace allowances and the configured provider. Keep sensitive personal information out of input.
