Handle unchanged AI output honestly

Sometimes an AI response may be too similar to the input to be a useful rewrite. The interface should not imply that copying the original words back is a successful new draft when the customer asked for assistance.

A practical workflow

  1. Check the difference

Compare the generated wording with the original. Cosmetic punctuation changes alone may not satisfy the request for a clearer draft.

  2. Keep the input

If generation is unavailable or rejected, retain the customer’s text visibly. Do not make them reconstruct a long experience from memory.

  3. Offer one retry

Explain the problem simply and provide a clear retry action. Avoid showing internal provider errors or technical configuration details.

Avoid this mistake

Do not silently show original input under an AI-generated label.

What to check

Test unchanged, empty and very short responses and inspect the recovery screen.

Keep the customer in control

Riya helps with wording in English, Hindi and Hinglish. It should preserve the customer’s facts and sentiment, and the customer can edit the draft before approving it. Copying and continuing to Google does not publish anything automatically. AI availability depends on both workspace allowances and the configured provider. Keep sensitive personal information out of input.
